Responsible Gaming

This page sets out practical habits that keep gambling inside a budget you chose in advance. It also explains plainly what this site can and cannot do for someone who wants to cut back or stop. Gambling is for adults only. The eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout this site, including on the front page.

Set Your Rules Before the First Bet

Decide the amount before you start, while your judgement is not yet shaped by wins or losses. Then treat that money as already spent. If you expect it back, every loss feels like a debt to recover.

Never chase a loss. A further stake does not repair the earlier one. It adds new risk on top of money that is already gone. Keep gambling out of borrowed money, because borrowing turns a session's loss into repayments that last long after the session ends.

Take regular breaks. Time away lets you check whether you are still enjoying yourself or simply continuing. If gambling stops being entertainment, involve someone you trust early. Talking it through is much easier before the amounts grow.

Know What This Site Cannot Do

  • Spending controls, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are settings a reader arranges inside an account at the destination. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application. Nothing published here can switch such a control on, check it or enforce it.
  • No gambling takes place on this site, and nobody's age is verified here. Any check of that kind happens at the destination.
  • No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages. Nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.

Reach Independent Help

Every page of this site, this one included, links to six independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gamble Aware, Gambling Therapy, G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here, GAM STOP and NCPG. They are the only non-commercial outbound links on the site.

Unlike the operator links, these links carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open the organisations' own websites in a separate tab. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them.
